Short Bio
Dr. Kim (IEEE Senior Member) received the B.S. degree with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematical Science from Seoul National University, Korea, in 2007, and the M.S./Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, USA, in 2013. He was the recipient of Stanford Fellowship and Kwanjeong Scholarship during the study. After the graduation, he has worked as a signal/power integrity engineer at Qualcomm and as a mmWave system engineer at SiBeam. In 2016, he joined the EE department of Kyung Hee University, where he is now an associate professor. In 2021, he received the Young Researcher Award from the Korean Institute of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science.
Currently, his research focuses on applications of radio-frequency technology and electromagnetics theory in wireless interface with bio-implantable devices, wireless power transfer, and radar technologies.
